Music Notes

It is great to be back in New Jersey. Many of you know that I recently finished a three-week course at Lied Austria International, based in Gamlitz, Styria, in South Austria. It was a very eye-opening musical and poetic experience. … Continue reading

What Age Do You Have To Be To Play Hand Bells?

That question is easily answered: As old or as young as you want to be! Only one thing is necessary: you need to hold at least one bell in your hands. And our Bell Choir is the living example of this, we span all generations in our group. On April 22, we had three generations of one family playing. Aliece, Evan, and Emily Sena played along with their grandmother Janet Waanders in the choir. Bells Take a Rest

Let me know if you want to play or can help with the cleaning, so I can take all of it into account when planning for the Fall. Continue reading

Handbells Take a Break

The Hand Bell choir played twice during the month of December. We opened the month with an Advent song with the addition of John Coakley on the clarinet. That was a really nice combination. Continue reading
