The Women’s Guild had their annual Advent Breakfast on Dec 1st. It was a great success. We even had some visitors from “new†churches. If I had remembered to take some pictures, I would have been able to show you how nice the tables looked. However, since I forgot, you have to just ask the other women who attended. It was so nice to have new colorful tablecloths! Thank you Joan for your wonderful donation! And, of course, a thank you for all the delicious food donations; without all this we would not be able to keep up this great tradition. Sandy and Rev. Susan did a great skit, a nice play on the role of Angels. The setup and cleanup was done by many loving hands.
For January, we are back to our regular schedule: prayer shawl meeting on the second Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Just come and bring your knitting or crochet work. We will pray over the shawls while we work at them. If you cannot knit or crochet, you are still welcome. Ellen usually has some Raggedy Ann’s that can be worked on during that time as well.
Our Women’s Guild meeting will be on the third Sunday, Jan 20th, after worship. We are going to use our study book again and go over the budget, and any other matters that need our attention.
For your calendars: The Church Women United will have their annual After Christmas Party on Jan 4th at the Reformed Church of New Brunswick at noon. If you want to attend, ask Erie for the details. The next celebration of the CWU will be the World Day of Prayer on Mar 7th. For more details about this, ask Erie.
