Snow – Sleet – Rain

Brrrr …This was some of the weather during the week of February 10 thru February 16. That was the week that First Reformed Church hosted the overflow men from the Ozanam Shelter. There were between 12 – 15 men who spent the night. They were provided  a warm and dry place to sleep and some food and beverages.

Random House Dictionary defines the word thank as: to express gratitude, appreciation, or acknowledgement. I think all of these feelings are for Jim Hance and Josh Bernhofer. Without their leadership and work there would have been no shelter for the homeless men.  Help was solicited and gotten from Calvery  Chapel and Highland Park Reformed Church. That is not to say that we here at First Reformed did not take part because we did. Women and men from the different churches volunteered to spend the evenings.

Thank you all!!!
