Sing-Along, Anyone?

After Children’s Day, which this year fell on June 21st (Father’s Day), our worship time is now 9:30a.m., every Sunday until September. What a blessing it is to have the spacious, air conditioned Fellowship Hall in which to have these services.

This year we are going to add something to our Sunday morning routine: a congregational hymn singalong right here in the beautiful Randolph Room. Summer is the optimum time for these kinds of events because the choir is on vacation and we can really fill our musical void with fun learning experiences such as this.

So, starting on July 5th, you are welcome to arrive in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 a.m. to help our deacons set up chairs. Then we will break for a few minutes for some coffee, and at 9:00 a.m. or thereabouts, we will start singing our hearts out! We will explore our variety of hymn books and traverse the ages for the hymns that have made a mark on Christian history. We will sing contemporary, traditional, praise songs, foreign hymns, and any other sacred music that YOU would like to bring. Let’s finally crack open our church’s library of music, and I’ll see you at 8:30 a.m. on the 5th.
