Piano and French Horn Performers Open the Recital Season

Mark your calendars for 12:15 on September 25. Paul S. Undreiner and John Clark will give a performance of Undreiner’s 2012 composition Sonata for French horn and Piano. These musicians have long experience as performers, composers, and educators and range in their musical styles from classical to jazz. Clark has not only performed and recorded with numerous jazz greats but also had his works recorded by many. Undreiner has had many works commissioned and is currently at work on a large ballet score for the Lustig Dance Theater. He chairs the Department of Theory, Composition, and Ear Training for the Mason Gross Extension Division at Rutgers while Clark in on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music.

The recitals that will follow the opener are:

October 9 – Elizabeth Thompson, cellist, on October 9;
October 23– trio@play (flutist Kevin Willois, clarinetist Ken Ellison, and pianist Lynda Saponara); and
November 13– distinguished baritone Mark Cotton, with collaborating pianist Brittany Montoro
