Lenten Movie Night Events

Adult Education has scheduled a series of Tuesday night movie events taking place in the Church Library at 7:30 p.m.

March 3rdThe Story of the Anabaptists. Movie and discussion that night will lead us into the birth pangs of the reformed faith in post medieval Europe. The film provides a good chance to learn about an ancient tension in our branch of Protestantism: are we a gathering of the pure or a gathering of all?

March 24thHildegard of Bingen. The discussion that night will center on the life of this medieval mystic, as well as the general meaning of role models for the life of us Christians. How important are they? Do they change in the course of a life? What’s your experience?

April 7th Dietrich Bonhoeffer. We will look at Bonhoeffer’s life as an extraordinary example of spiritual growth. It will also provide us with some insights what it might mean to take a stance today.
