Kid’s Club – It Was a Painting Festival!

Julius and Kathy Fekete led our children through a marvelous history about the legend of the “Easter Bunny” this past Saturday Kids’ Klub. Crossword puzzles and other handouts noted various aspects about the rabbit as a symbol for Spring and rebirth. Mostly, though, the children enjoyed painting the hand-crafted bunnies, which Julius hand cut out and glued. They truly became a colorful decoration for Coffee Hour the next day. Thanks – Julius and Kathy for all the fun!!!

However, there were several other volunteers who did some painting that morning. (And some who continued to finish the job the following week.) Have you noticed how nice the breezeway looks, with a refreshed white coating and even a light silver on the sills and molding? Gary, Lauren, and Josh Bernhofer did a very fine job with it. Thanks so much!! Plus, you had a wee-bit of a helper in Theo – who definitely preferred painting with the guys!! Thanks too, Theo.

The next Kids’ Klub will be on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, from 10:00 am until  Noon. We’ll be kicking our heels and trying some Irish Specialties. Don’t forget to come!!
