On Jan 9th and 10th, the Fellowship Hall is the place to be between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The American Gold and Diamond Buyers will be in the Fellowship Hall to appraise and purchase your unwanted gold and sterling silver and platinum jewelry; fine watches; coins; antique and estate jewelry. The Preservation Fund will get a percentage of sales. What will YOU AND THE FRIENDS YOU BRING get? Cash for items you no longer want, refreshments, and the warm feeling that comes from helping the cause. Call Church secretary Aurea Vega at 732-545-1005 to say you’d like to bring things for appraisal. If all you want is the warm feeling, you can donate your items to the church before Jan 9th and allow the committee to present them for appraisal and sale.
Coffee Hour conversation on Jan 10th will be about the fund-raising effort for our Historic Preservation Project. Be brought up to date on the history and current status of the campaign and current and future efforts to reach our goal; offer suggestions; figure out how to help; ask questions that you have about anything from the reasons for undertaking the preservation project to the time line for the work to the deadline for raising the money — whatever is on your mind. As a member of the congregation, YOU have a stake in this project; we hope you want to be informed and to lend your voice to the conversation.
