Dutch Dancing – Klompen Through the Spring!

We have started to practice again for our Dutch dancing. If you have been wondering whether it is something for you, I invite you to join us. We have lots of fun and it is good exercise as well.

This time we are preparing for three performances this spring. The first is the celebration of the birthday of the Dutch Queen Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard. The Meadows Foundation is planning a traditional celebration of this event on April 26th.

Then, just two weeks later, we will all go to Hofstra University to perform at their annual Tulip Festival. Yes, we travel all the way out to the middle of Long Island, but it is usually beautiful weather and we find a lot of Dutch specialties there.

Finally, our last performance is planned for the beginning of June. We are invited to perform in Kingston, NY. This isn’t the first time that we have been invited to perform, but the requests are becoming more common.

I hope to see many faces, old and new, to join our circle!
