Spring 2014 Featured Artists
April 9 “April in Paris” featuring Katherine McClure, flute, and
Kathy Shanklin, piano
Time-travel musically through the City of Lights. Enjoy the rich elegance of Le XVIIIe siècle, the dreamy impressionism of the early 20th century, and the cool jazz of modern times. Both McClure and Shanklin perform widely in the area, and both are faculty members at the Westminster Conservatory of Rider University.
April 30 Gavin Black, harpsichord
The founder and Director of the Princeton Early Keyboard Center, Black is also an active recitalist on harpsichord, clavichord, organ, and continuo. His program will be selections from J.S. Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, played on a double-manual harpsichord in the German style by Keith Hill.
