With snowdrops blooming and daffodils poking up, spring and the spring recital series must be around the corner. Add music to your spring Wednesdays and think about whom you might invite to attend with you. The recitals begin at 12:15, last for half an hour, and are topped off by a soup lunch and conversation. Here’s the line-up:
The Sky Lark string quartet: Carol Redfield Vizzin, a cellist who has played on the series in other ensembles returns with Dezheng Ping, violin, Hyun Soo Lim, violin, and Emily Muller, viola.
Glenn Swann performing on the shakuhachi, a Japanese bamboo flute, and describing it as a concert instrument and tool for meditation
A marimba recital by Greg Giannascoli performing Gershwin, Bernstein, and Bach.
The trio La Troupe du Jour–soprano Danielle Sinclair, mezzo-soprano Denise Mihalik, and pianist Kathy Shanklin–are returning a few years after their hit recital called “Sweet Power of Song”
