Fifteen folks participated in a very successful Clean Up Day on Saturday, Nov 11th. Julius Fekete also did a great job of organizing the projects so that they were doable. Several volunteers trimmed the yews and cleaned up the front yard of the Church. A few others filled in a hole next to the sanctuary which has been allowing water to gush underneath the church’s crawl space.
A few folks cleaned each pew cushion and vacuumed the sanctuary for several hours. And the majority began to paint Fellowship Hall. Quite a few of the volunteers stayed until 4:00 p.m. in order to get the entire place finished.
Thanks so much for the devoted time. The entire facilities look well kept. We received very appreciative comments about our buildings from visitors at the Interfaith Worship Service.
Also, keep your eyes open and ready for a blooming Spring at the front of our church.
500 hundred, yes – 500 hundred, tulip and daffodil bulbs were planted by some young and older volunteers the Friday after Thanksgiving. We can’t wait to see the colors bursting forth.
