We had a most wonderful, small ensemble play during the August 8th worship service, which celebrated Marie & Wilbur Washington – their Christian witness and service. I have heard many appreciative comments after the service. Thank you to all the ringers! Some of you stepped up at the last moment to fill a gap, and others practiced during some very hot Sundays! But in the end it was all worth it!
In September most of us have a sense of going back to our “regular schedule”. This is also true for the Bell Choir; we will start with our weekly rehearsal once again on September 12th. Upstairs in our beautiful music room we will once again practice our bells every Sunday from 9:50 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.. And I will try to pick a variety of music so that we can play at least once a month during our worship services.
If you are interested in playing, let me know so I can include you in my ringers schedule. Everybody is welcome; you don’t have to be able to read music very well to play, just a little is enough. And we have enough willing people to help you play! And most of us do agree that the handbells always sound beautiful when we play in the sanctuary.
