Music Is in the Air

The early March opening recital in the Spring Series of the Downtown Lunchtime recitals was a beautiful performance by Timothy Urban, who played a variety of recorders and also sang, and Kathleen Scheide on the church’s harpsichord. They drew the audience in with a 20th century series of variations on the famiiiar tune “Greensleeves.” then, in a different kind of variation, they performed three different 16th and 17th century pieces by different composers on the same tune, Amarilli, mia bella.”
