How does that word effect us? For us at First Reformed Church, it means the money that we must pay annually to the Classis of the Reformed Church of America for each active member of the church. For 2006, the assessment was $76.52 per member. We still have about $1,700 to pay for our church this year, which means that several members have not paid their assessment.
Please remember that this money goes directly to the Classis of New Brunswick, and further on to the Regional Synod and the General Synod. If you have not remitted the assessment and you are able to do this before the end of the year, it would be greatly appreciated.
