These two lunchtime recitals are sure to be memorable.
The first (April 10) features Glenn Swann playing shakuhachi (Japanes bamboo flute). This may be your first experience of this instrument, but it’s sure to be an enjoyable one. And–“tada”– for your added excitement and enjoyment Ben Berman will be at the piano, collaborating with Mr. Swann on two pieces.
Then, on April 24, we’ll have the treat of hearing Greg Giannascoli play marimba. He is an acclaimed performer, both in the States and internationally. His program will range from Gershwin to Bach, so round up your family and friends and prepare for a good time, beginning at 12:15. Save the May 8 date too for a wonderful ensemble comprising soprano, mezzo-soprano and piano: La Troupe du Jour, exploring the boundaries of cabaet and classical music.
