Interested in Science, Faith and the Meaning of the Universe?
Too often, we Christians define our identity mainly by comparison with other Christian groups. But if other Christian groups did not exist, would we still know who we are? And what would happen, if we could not even resort to historic comparison?
These questions show a quest for meaning beyond the denominational divide. But how do we get there and obtain it for us?
A noted British theologian has tried to find a way. Our Summer Class will therefore explore Alister E. McGrath, Surprised by Meaning: Science, Faith, and How We Make Sense of Things, Louisville, KY: Westminster John Knox Press 2011. Come and join us for mutual study and fellowship. You may purchase the book privately, but this is not necessary for joining the class.
The class meets at 7:30PM on the following Wednesdays:
A sign-up sheet will be passed around on Sunday during worship.
The first meeting will be at Ethel’s house.
